Senior Ignition Engineer

Our national and global scale allows us to help our clients develop and implement standardized solutions at any of their facilities regardless of physical location or the local resources available at that site.We are seeking an Senior Ignition Engineer with expertise in Inductive Automation Ignition to lead the design, development, and deployment of SCADA, IIoT, and industrial automation solutions. Responsibilities include implementation, testing and startup of technical solutions created by yourself or others. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, integrating industrial systems, and ensuring high-performance, scalable, and secure automation applications.You will:Design, develop, and implement Ignition-based SCADA and IIoT solutions for industrial automation projects.Be the technical lead for Ignition architecture, including Gateway configuration, Perspective, Vision, and SQL databases.Design and configure PLC/SCADA networksWork cooperatively with engineering, design, production, and field service staffAware of Project budget and schedules for the purpose of recognizing and communicating issues to PMs before becoming a conflictDevelop overall system architecture for industrial control projectsSpecify and configure various hardware components such as, instrumentation, PLCs, communication systems and industrial control panelsPerform functional testing of electrical and control systemsMentor and train engineers, providing technical guidance and Ignition best practices.Coordinate start-up activities within ETG, any contractors and owner personnelDevelop and Lead training classes internally and externallyCreate tools, methods and approaches to increase engineering efficiencyAssist Business development team to evaluate and promote opportunities with predesigns, estimates, and in person presentationsBe an ambassador who embodies our Core Values, prioritizing the success of E Tech Group, our clients, and the professional development of our associates.You have:Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.10+ years of experience in the control system industry.5+ years of hands-on experience with Inductive Automation Ignition (Perspective, Vision, SQL, Tag Historian, Scripting).Extensive knowledge of advanced Ignition concepts, including system architecture, scripting, and integration best practices.Strong development skills in Jython, SQL, and JavaScript for building robust and scalable solutions.Familiarity with UI/UX principles to design intuitive and user-friendly interfaces.Strong understanding of controls systems.Ability to develop PLC and HMI programs within one or more languagesExperience commissioning in "live" environments.Current Gold certified in IgnitionA DNA comprised of collaboration and teamwork.You may have:Experience with GMP and GDP or working on projects or in facilities regulated by the FDA.Benefits & Perks:401k + match + prompt enrollment.
