Job Summary
The Field Operations Coordinator is responsible for supporting and coordinating daily field operations with a strong focus on logistics, scheduling, and efficient use of manpower and equipment. This role plays a key part in ensuring trucks and crews are routed effectively, resources are allocated correctly, and operational costs are controlled through smart planning and real-time coordination.
This position is ideal for someone with logistics and scheduling experience who understands the cost impact of poor routing, underutilized labor, and last-minute operational changes. The individual must be able to make rapid decisions during changing field conditions and determine necessary field equipment and all other job-support requirements.
Work Environment
Full-time position based in our Glassboro, NJ office
Office-based with regular communication with field crews and internal teams
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate daily and weekly scheduling of field crews and trucks out of our NJ and DE locations
Efficiently route trucks and manpower to maximize productivity and minimize downtime
Allocate installers correctly based on qualifications, abilities, and special clearances
Determine required field equipment for each job (e.g., lifts, scaffolding, PPE)
Collaborate with logistics, warehouse, production, and field leadership to align schedules and priorities
Monitor and adjust schedules in real time to address jobsite changes, delays, or material issues
Ensure crews are properly assigned based on job scope, labor requirements, and timelines
Track and communicate labor utilization, truck usage, and field feedback
Identify and prevent inefficiencies related to misallocated manpower, poor routing, or schedule gaps
Support field issue resolution related to access, materials, sequencing, or scope clarity
Maintain accurate documentation related to scheduling, job readiness, and operational changes in CRM software.
Promote adherence to company procedures, safety standards, and job readiness expectations
Make rapid, informed decisions during dynamic or changing field conditions
Take incoming field-related calls during off hours to support urgent scheduling or operational needs
Qualifications
Prior experience in logistics, field operations coordination, dispatching, or scheduling required
Demonstrated experience routing trucks and allocating manpower efficiently
Strong understanding of operational costs and the financial impact of inefficient resource allocation
Ability to manage multiple crews, trucks, and active jobs simultaneously
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Clear, professional communication skills
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Construction or trade-related experience required
Proficiency with scheduling tools, spreadsheets, and job tracking systems
Ability to assess and determine necessary field equipment (lifts, scaffolding, PPE, etc.)
