{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"5c1c94de75120f3d893840e1","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/5c1c94de75120f3d893840e1","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/5c1c94de75120f3d893840e1","title":"Electrical Superintendent","description":"Electrical SuperintendentID:1692\r\nLocation:Columbia, SC\r\nDepartment:CommercialThe Electrical Superintendent oversees the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in commercial, industrial, and public facilities based on the plans, specifications, and estimate of the scope of the work.\r\nEssential Duties & Responsibilities:\r\nManage projects efficiently and economically in the areas of scheduling, manpower, material supply, tool coordination, and reporting\r\nWork safely while performing new construction, maintenance, or repair of electrical systems\r\nConduct pre-job planning, assign work, supervise, and evaluate workflow to drive productivity\r\nLead a team of electricians and helpers by setting an example, and conducting on the job training\r\nFollow project schedule, complete time sheets, safety reports, project analysis, and other reports as required in an accurate and timely manner\r\nAccurately install wire, conduit, panel boards, fixtures, devices, pre-fab assemblies, boxes, and breakers according to job specifications and NEC\r\nInstall electrical distribution and automation equipment: switchgear, transformers, disconnects, PLC cabinets and VFDs\r\nProficient with circuitry of the trade to include power, control, and motor terminations (single and three phase)\r\nBend conduit by hand and with benders\r\nCollaborate with Project Manager about project changes\r\nPerforms excavations of dirt, rock, concrete, and other materials using hand tools or power equipment\r\nThese duties and responsibilities are not all-inclusive and may change to meet the priorities and ongoing needs of the company.\r\nQualifications and Requirements:\r\nTo perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.\r\nRequires the ability to read and understand instructions, procedures, labels, and gauges\r\nAccurately perform basic math calculations to include addition, subtraction, fractions, decimals, multiplication, division, and the use of measurements\r\nAbility to communicate effectively (written, verbal and nonverbal)\r\nRequires self-motivation, organization, and prioritization management\r\nProficient knowledge of OSHA standards and guidelines\r\nTechnical degree, 5-7 years experience, extensive mechanical ability, or a combination of education and/or experience\r\nCertifications or experience preferred in the following areas:\r\nJourneyman or Master Electrician card/license\r\nOSHA certifications\r\nFirst Aid and CPR certification\r\nPhysical Demands:\r\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.\r\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; climb; lifts and carry up to 60 lbs, crawl, kneel, push and reach; use hands to fingers, handle, and feel.\r\nWork Environment:\r\nIn performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
