You'll work directly with the founding team on product features, performance improvements, and integrations that directly affect our subscribers. We\\'re looking for someone who already codes that way.\r\nWhat You\\'ll Work On\r\nBuild and ship a major platform release this fall, spanning subscription and video features, on a fixed timeline\r\nOwn the search-to-conversion funnel: player search, team search, athlete profiles, paywall, and checkout experience\r\nBuild and maintain subscription billing: plans, plan changes, webhooks, and checkout flows\r\nInstrument conversion tracking and key events across the funnel (GA4, Stripe webhooks)\r\nIntegrate and abstract third-party video and stats provider APIs so the platform is never coupled to a single vendor\r\nContribute to athlete discovery and recruiting features on the roadmap\r\nImprove platform performance, reliability, and scalability, and contribute to API design and data architecture decisions\r\nWhat We\\'re Looking For\r\nRequired\r\n3–5 years of professional software engineering experience\r\nStrong proficiency in Laravel (PHP), our core stack\r\nHands-on Stripe experience: subscription billing logic, webhooks, and checkout\r\nDemonstrated use of AI coding tools (Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude, etc.) as a native part of your workflow\r\nExperience with relational databases (MySQL / PostgreSQL)\r\nComfortable working independently in a fast-moving, async-first environment\r\nAble to start quickly and commit through a fall release cycle\r\nUS-based\r\nNice to Have\r\nBackground in sports tech, competitive volleyball, consumer SaaS, or marketplaces\r\nFamiliarity with sports data, video streaming, or athlete management platforms\r\nExperience with analytics instrumentation (GA4, event tracking)\r\nExperience working with small founding teams or early-stage products\r\nHow We Work\r\nThis is a contract engagement with potential to extend. You\\'ll work closely with a small, senior team. Scope and cadence are defined collaboratively. We move fast and expect the same.
