Our Hodge Foundry location began operation in 1876 and built a reputation for quality casting from its Greenville, Pennsylvania location. The two foundries joined to form a single company in 2008, which is today known as Elyria Foundry. We are a fast-paced, technically advanced, customer-focused operation creating high-quality, American-made products and we’re looking for individuals who are eager to learn and contribute to the Team!\n\nPosition: Laempe Machine Operator (2nd shift, starts at 1:30pm)\nStarting at $20/hr for those with machine experience\n\nEssential Job Duties and Responsibilities:\nSets up, runs and monitors Laempe core making machine to make sand cores\nStage production supplies, load sand and resin mixtures\nInspect core for visual defects, cracks, etc.\nClear sand buildup, perform basic daily machine upkeep\nPerform other duties as required\n\nQualifications, Skills, and Abilities:\nMust be at least 18 years of age\nHigh School diploma/GED or equivalent preferred\n2+ years Machine Operator / Foundry experience, core making preferred\nAbility to work independently and follow specific work instructions\n\nWork Environment and Physical Demands:\nHandle moving objects: Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning and moving materials.\nPerform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking stooping and handling materials.\nIndoor and outdoor climate conditions during all seasons and in varying temperatures.\nAbility to lift items up to 50 lbs consistently and perform other heavy manual work in a hot and dirty environment\n\nJob Type: Full Time.
