LAC - Licensed Associate Counselor

The Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) provides professional mental health counseling services under supervision in accordance with state licensing requirements. The LAC conducts assessments, develops treatment plans, provides individual and group counseling, maintains clinical documentation, and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to support clients' emotional, behavioral, and mental well-being. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Conduct mental health assessments, screenings, and intake evaluations. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans. Provide individual, family, and group counseling services. Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical documentation. Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed. Provide crisis intervention and support during emergencies. Collaborate with healthcare providers, case managers, schools, and community agencies. Educate clients and families on coping strategies, mental health conditions, and available resources. Participate in clinical supervision and staff meetings as required. Ensure compliance with HIPAA, state regulations, and organizational policies. Maintain professional licensure requirements, continuing education, and ethical standards. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution. Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related behavioral health field. Current Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) license in the State of Arizona or ability to obtain licensure prior to employment. Knowledge of counseling techniques, crisis intervention, and behavioral health practices. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively with diverse populations. Basic computer and electronic health record (EHR) proficiency preferred. Experience working in community health, outpatient behavioral health, or integrated care settings. Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred. Experience with trauma-informed care and evidence-based practices. Pay: $58,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year Work Location: In person
