This role also assists and provides backup support for other team members in Shipping and Receiving.\r\nJob Duties\r\nDuties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:\r\nPick, pack, and consolidate materials for domestic customer orders.\r\nInspect items to make certain all Job Ticket requirements are met.\r\nFold, staple, and tape corrugated cartons in preparation for packing.\r\nSecure large shipments on skids, pallets, or crates.\r\nProcess ERP transactions, including the capture of product serial numbers.\r\nProcess shipments using UPS and FEDEX systems.\r\nGenerate and attach shipping labels, Airway Bills, and Bills of Lading.\r\nOperate powered industrial lift trucks (formal qualification is required).\r\nAssist carriers in loading their trucks.\r\nMonitor and respond to voicemail and email messages daily.\r\nTroubleshoot and help resolve shipping issues and customer complaints.\r\nMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.\r\nPerforms other duties as assigned by the supervisor.\r\nJob Qualifications\r\nHigh school diploma or GED required.\r\nExperience in manufacturing, warehouse, or logistics preferred.\r\nFamiliarity with an ERP/MRP system.\r\nFamiliarity with UPS & FEDEX label machines, packing tape dispensers, banders, pallet wrappers, manual & powered hand trucks, forklifts, battery chargers, pneumatic staplers, and protective eyewear preferred.\r\nAbility to work effectively in a team environment.\r\nAbility to communicate clearly with others to exchange information.\r\nAbility to follow company safety policies and procedures.\r\nAbility to be trained and qualified to operate powered lift trucks.\r\nAbility to read, write, speak, and understand instructions in English.\r\nPhysical Requirements\r\nAbility to stand and walk continuously.\r\nAbility to bend, squat, twist, kneel, crouch, and reach.\r\nAbility to grasp, lift, and carry objects up to 50 pounds.\r\nAbility to use computers and telephones and standard equipment.\r\nAbility to see clearly at close and long distances, with peripheral vision, and depth perception.\r\nITW is an equal opportunity employer.
