The developer will collaborate with solution architects, cloud engineers, API developers, and testers to ensure high performance, scalability, and maintainability of the database platform, reporting to the Development Manager.\r\nKey Responsibilities: Develop and optimize T-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and viewsto support new application capabilities.\r\nPerform advanced performance tuning, indexing strategies, and queryoptimization for a business-critical SQL environment.\r\nModernize existing SQL components while supporting legacy SQL code andstructures.\r\nSupport new feature development aligned with the microservices-basedapplication modernization approach.\r\nCollaborate with .NET Core/C# developers to ensure efficient data accesspatterns and API/database integrations.\r\nParticipate in modernizing existing database models to support modular,scalable architecture.\r\nSupport and maintain high availability environments using Always Onavailability groups.\r\nDevelop migration scripts, ETL logic, and integration solutions using SSISand Databricks.\r\nEnsure PCI compliance requirements are followed and implement data retention rules as required.\r\nContribute SQL-related changes through CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub workflows.\r\nParticipate in Agile ceremonies and deliver assigned work within established sprint cycles.\r\nRequired Skills: 7--10 years of SQL Server development experience in enterprise environments.\r\nAdvanced T-SQL development skills including query tuning and performanceoptimization.\r\nExperience developing in SQL Server on Azure VM (IaaS) environments.\r\nHands-on experience supporting high availability architectures using AlwaysOn availability groups.\r\nExperience modernizing database code and schemas, including legacy SQLsupport.\r\nExperience building ETL solutions using SSIS and Databricks.\r\nExperience collaborating with .NET Core/C# development teams.\r\nExperience deploying SQL updates through Azure DevOps and GitHub CI/CDpipelines.\r\nAbility to work effective within Agile/Scrum teams.\r\nKnowledge of PCI compliance and database security requirements.\r\nPreferred Skills: Experience with Terraform or infrastructure-as-code to support SQL deployments.\r\nExperience working with microservices architectures and domain-driven design.\r\nKnowledge of scaling strategies for high-transaction SQL environments.\r\nExperience modernizing SQL workloads in cloud-hosted environments.\r\nWork Environment & Arrangement This role follows a hybrid work schedule requiring the developer to be onsite 1day per week.
