The Controller will guide accounting practices, strengthen reporting accuracy, and drive continuous improvement in financial processes.\nKey Responsibilities\nFinancial Management & Reporting\nServe as a business partner to senior leadership and collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams.\nLead and support accounting functions including General Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cost Accounting, and local controlling teams.\nOversee the integrity of accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems to ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulations.\nDirect budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.\nDevelop and refine reporting tools and dashboards that support business decision‑making.\nManage month‑end and quarter‑end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements.\nReview key account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial results.\nImplement and maintain consistent accounting policies and procedures across all locations.\nCoordinate internal and external audit activities and ensure timely completion.\nCost Accounting & Operational Support\nLead cost accounting processes and ensure accurate, reliable cost data.\nPrepare and manage annual cost roll activities and documentation.\nPromote consistent costing and quoting practices across operations.\nPartner with operations teams to evaluate make‑versus‑buy decisions and other cost‑related initiatives.\nOversee physical inventory processes and drive improvements in inventory controls.\nCompliance & Controls\nStrengthen internal control frameworks and ensure adherence to compliance requirements.\nDevelop, monitor, and enforce financial policies and procedures.\nSafeguard company assets through effective control measures and oversight.\nAnalysis, Projects & Continuous Improvement\nEnhance business metrics and reporting to provide actionable insights to leadership.\nMaintain data consistency across financial systems and support system improvements.\nAssist with tax‑related requests, filings, and research.\nConduct ad hoc financial analysis and support special projects that drive operational and financial performance.\nQualifications & Requirements\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.\nCPA preferred but not required.\n5+ years of progressive experience in senior accounting or finance roles.\nStrong technical accounting knowledge and proficiency across core accounting functions.\nExperience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.\nAdvanced Excel skills; familiarity with ERP or financial reporting systems (e.g., Great Plains, Microsoft Dynamics, TM1) is beneficial.\nStrong judgment, discretion, and ability to manage confidential information.\nSelf‑motivated, adaptable, and able to work effectively in a dynamic environment.\nExperience leading, coaching, or mentoring finance professionals.\nAt Durex Industries, we are not just an employer but a champion of equal opportunities and inclusivity.
