This position provides hands-on experience in the design and detailing of a wide variety of structural projects. The EIT will work under the supervision of licensed Professional Engineers and collaborate closely with project managers, drafters, and clients throughout all phases of projects. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career engineer looking to build a strong foundation in structural engineering within a collaborative, small-firm environment.\nKey Responsibilities Assist with the preparation of design calculations, contract drawings, and project specifications.\nCoordination with other engineering disciplines.\nConstruction support services.\nScope will vary, but may include design of cold-formed steel, wood, concrete, steel, masonry, and seismic design.\nCollaborate with project managers and senior engineers to meet project schedules and budgets.\nRequired Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in structural analysis/design (or graduating soon).\nEngineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain within 6-months.\nFirm understanding of fundamentals of structural mechanics.\nStrong communication skills and attention to detail.\nAbility to manage multiple tasks and work effectively in a team environment.\nPreferred Qualifications Internship or prior experience in civil engineering or consulting.\nFamiliarity with building code regulations.\nInterest in pursuing Master’s degree for candidates with a Bachelor’s degree.\nInterest in pursuing Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.\nPhysical & Work Requirements\nAbility to perform field work including site visits.\nAbility to work at a computer for extended periods.\nValid driver’s license.\nCompany and Benefits Devco Engineering Inc. is a well-respected Civil and Structural Engineering design firm with expertise in Civil, Structural, Cold-formed Steel and Stone Anchorage Engineering.
