{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"5b8643f39e4c070e7dcde3d2","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/5b8643f39e4c070e7dcde3d2","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/5b8643f39e4c070e7dcde3d2","title":"Implementations Network Engineer III","description":"Description\nLightGrid is Looking for an Implementations Network Engineer III to work at Scot Air Force base.This role requires a SECRET Clearance.\nPrimary Responsibilities: Responsible for performing and training team on the following duties:\nPerform customer coordination, Initial Test and Acceptance (IT&A), execution of all reporting functions, and complete data input associated with new service activations to ensure they are implemented in accordance with Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) standards.\nWork directly with customers, solution architects and vendor SMEs to implement changes and also identify, analyze, and resolve issue.\nManage Service Orders, in accordance with Change Management procedures.\nEnsure Telecommunication Service Orders (TSOs) are in place and accurate for scheduled network additions and changes.\nInitiate network device configurations using configlets.\nAnalyze DISN and databases to validate and implement customer requirements.\nDesign and implementation of solutions to highly technical problems through testing, documentation and modification of configurations on network devices.\nCoordinate and program customer circuit activation with commercial vendors to establish the engineered solution for end-to-end connectivity.\nPerform network monitoring to assess if deployed changes have caused impacts to customer traffic using provided expectations of traffic behavior, lessons learned, and customer reporting.\nUtilize systems analysis techniques and procedures, including consulting with users to determine hardware, software, or system functional requirements in support of customer resources.\nEngage with the DISA project managers and/or customers to resolve issues with incomplete or unclear requirements.\nReach out to stakeholders and facilitate approvals as necessary to ensure continual forward progress of the service request.\nRequirements\n\nBasic Qualifications:\nProficient knowledge of various network hardware equipment specifications, configuration and testing processes, and industry specifications.\nKnowledge of configuring, activating, testing, and analyzing network systems.\nNetwork engineering, problem management, and performance management experience.\nUnderstanding of basic telecommunications and information technology terms and technology.\nKnowledge of data and voice network design carried over various transmissions systems, router to router connections using military and commercial protocols such as BGP and ISIS, switch-to-switch trunking to include VLANS, and circuit configurations through multiplexers.\nExperience with network services (BGP, OSPF, DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, WAN, VPN, VLAN, VRF, etc.) and network appliances (e.g., routers, load balancers, domain name servers, firewalls).\nAbility to work in a team environment, but self-driven to complete assignments while continually developing proficiencies in processes.\nStrong written and verbal communications, team building and collaboration skills.\nAn active Secret security clearance is required.\nDoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security+ CE or equivalent).\nPreferred Qualifications:\nPrior experience at DISA, or knowledge of DISA systems and processes.\nPrior experience with SharePoint data entry.\nExperience performing customer outreach.\nExperience with DISA Request Fulfillment process and associate documents (TSRs, TSOs, completion reports) and circulars experience.\nBasic understanding of Department of Defense, its policies, and hierarchy.\nBasic understanding of DISA organizational structure and how different elements (DITCO, etc.) contribute to fulfilling mission partner TSR requirements.\nNetwork certifications: Cisco Certifications (CCNA, CCNP, etc.), Microsoft certifications (MCSE, etc.), security certifications (Security + CE, CISSP, etc.)- ITIL certification.\nRequired Education and Experience:\nRequires BS and 4-8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2-6 years of prior relevant experience.
