As a Process Engineer, the successful candidate will play a vital role in further increasing customer satisfaction whilst also driving yield improvement. The position will report to the Logan Operations leader.\nLocation: Logan, Utah\nJob Duties Become familiar with and integral to all processes related to manufacturing, quality, and research and development of VPH gratings.\nDesign, analyze, and document processes including Standard Operating Procedures and corrective actions.\nApply Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies to reduce process variation, improve yield, and drive operational efficiency.\nRefine existing and develop new processes to optimize performance and yield of all holographic products.\nAs part of the Logan engineering team, collaborate cross functionally to implement, monitor and course correct all processes.\nAssist in maintaining process related documentation, analyses, and reports per ISO:9001.\nSupport the Logan sales team in responding to customer inquiries and ensuring customer expectations are in line with manufacturing capabilities.\nQualifications Experience with manufacturing optical products or similar components a plus.\nWorking to ISO:9001 standards and being instrumental at introducing them.\nUsage of MS Excel and or other data analysis programs.\nFabrication or Machining experience a plus.\nEducation/Skills BSc or higher in mechanical, manufacturing, optics or related engineering/science fields.An understanding of how to be a strong team player and an effective individual contributor.\nGood organization skills and ability to generate internal and customer-facing written documentation.\nAbility to communicate and present findings to allow data driven companywide decisions.\nSelf-motivated to work on multiple projects simultaneously.\nAbout Wasatch Wasatch Photonics is a fast-growing company with several market-leading products with optics at its core.
