DescriptionJob DescriptionPosition Title: E-Commerce Associate - Auction Listing OperationsDepartment: E-CommerceReports To: E-Commerce ManagerTHIS IS NOT AN EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT AND DOES NOT ALTER ANY ASSOCIATE'S AT-WILL EMPLOYMENT STATUS.Mission StatementGoodwill Industries of Upstate/Midlands South Carolina provides access, information, and resources to help people improve their lives through the power of work.Job SummarySupports Goodwill's mission by preparing, photographing, describing, listing, storing, and fulfilling online auction and marketplace products while meeting daily production goals and safety standards.Uses tools to streamline photography and listing while verifying accuracy and compliance with Goodwill standards; associates retain responsibility for the final listing content.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesUse tablet tools to photograph items, generate listing details, and upload products to ShopGoodwill and other marketplaces (e.g., eBay, Amazon).Create accurate labels, tag items, and ensure proper storage and tracking throughout the auction lifecycle.Pick/pull sold items from warehouse locations and prepare orders for shipment or customer pickup upon auction close.Clean, test, and evaluate merchandise to ensure accurate descriptions and functionality prior to listing.Sort, identify, and evaluate jewelry and other small or high-value items, ensuring proper handling and chain of custody.Perform quality control checks on E-Commerce shipments from multiple stores; reconcile discrepancies as needed.Maintain organized, clean, and safe workstations; follow housekeeping and recycling procedures.Navigate warehouse locations safely; operate pallet jacks and related equipment for moving materials.Maintain accuracy, punctuality, and completeness of required records and reports.Follow all Goodwill policies, safety protocols, and security procedures; report incidents promptly.Meet or exceed daily/weekly production targets for items photographed, listed, processed, and shipped.Other Duties as AssignedAssist with sorting computer/electronic donations as requested.Perform additional duties to support team operations and mission delivery.Minimum QualificationsFunctional reading, writing, typing, and basic math skills; ability to follow verbal and written instructions.Ability to learn and use tablets, computers, and mobile devices; comfort with digital workflows.Preferred QualificationsExperience in warehouse, production, retail, or donation-processing environments.Familiarity with online marketplaces (ShopGoodwill, eBay, Amazon) and modern listing tools.Experience with product photography, item presentation, and preparing merchandise for resale.Physical RequirementsDaily activities include standing for extended periods; lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling; crouching, stooping, kneeling, and reaching.Work may occur around dust, odors, variable temperatures, and occasional loud noise; limited outdoor tasks may be required.Work EnvironmentFast-paced, production-oriented warehouse environment handling donated goods of varied origin.Requires consistent adherence to PPE, safe-lifting practices, and hazard communication protocols.Work Hours7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday-Friday, or as required to meet operational needs; regular and dependable attendance is essential.Work AttireNeat, clean, and professional appearance required.
