The responsibility of the Intelligence Analyst will be to provide direct support to the customer staff. While in this critical position, you will have the opportunity to utilize your training and experience to assist corrections investigations staff in the development of actionable intelligence within the facilities or approved outside law enforcement agencies within established timeframes. The selected candidate will be team oriented, capable of multitasking, and possess excellent communication skills. This position will be based at the client site.\r\nResponsibilities\r\nAnalyze data to establish trends within the facility and potential areas of interest\r\nAssist facility with their investigations by utilizing specialized software provided for data mining and link analysis\r\nLeverage various database query languages (i.e. SSMS) and external data mining languages (i.e. Python) to interact with data\r\nReview and listen to offender telephone calls\r\nEstablish a fundamental understanding of the facility's operation to include policies and procedures, and data sources available for analysis\r\nDemonstrate fundamental understanding of investigative and intelligence processes to include the intelligence cycle\r\nIf directed, proactively develop intelligence to assist in accomplishing facility objectives and mission\r\nSubmit detailed reports to facility regarding intelligence findings\r\nSubmit regular reports to superiors outlining level of support and benefit to facility\r\nProvide guidance and training to facility staff\r\nFulfill requests for call recordings or other related data as authorized and requested\r\nParticipation in court or other administrative related hearings\r\nDemonstrate a high level of confidentiality and meticulous attention to detail\r\nAbility to develop expertise in the area of OSINT, human trafficking, digital forensics, criminal organizations, fraud, probation and parole or other specialized area.\r\nQualifications\r\nA Bachelor's Degree with a concentration in Criminal Justice, Security and Intelligence, or a Business-related field is preferred, equivalent years of related experience in lieu of a degree or a combination of education/experience will be considered.\r\nMinimum of 2 years of experience conducting analysis aligned with the intelligence cycle, including planning, collection, organization, analysis, reporting, and feedback integration, or at least two years of substantial criminal investigative experience.\r\nAbility to develop a fundamental understanding of intelligence processes in a correctional environment to include institutional operations and criminal procedures\r\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\r\nPrepared to testify in court or other administrative related hearings as needed\r\nProficient in Microsoft Windows OS and Microsoft Suite\r\nAbility to learn ViaPath and third-party software applications within the first six months of hire\r\nAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines\r\nStrong problem-solving and critical thinking skills with an interest and ability to conduct analysis and report on findings\r\nAbility to learn database query language and external mining query language to successfully built and run custom algorithms. Experience with SSMS and Python preferred.\r\nAbility to properly manage confidential information.\r\nFluency (written and verbal) in English is required.
