Job Title: Payment ConsultantLocation: Pittsburgh, PADuration : ContractJob Description:Role Descriptions: Advise clients or internal stakeholders on payment ecosystems including cards, ACH, wires, RTP, digital wallets, and cross border paymentsAssess current payment capabilities and recommend roadmaps for modernization, efficiency, and scalabilitySupport payment product launches, expansions, and optimization initiativesProvide thought leadership on industry trends, payment innovations, payment regulations and standards (e.g., PCI DSS)Identify payment related risks (fraud, operational, regulatory) and recommend mitigation strategiesAct as a trusted advisor to executives, product owners, operations teams, and external partnersFacilitate workshops, requirement gathering sessions, solution assessment and executive briefingsTranslate complex payment concepts into clear, actionable business recommendationsCollaborate with technology teams on payment platforms, gateways, processors, and system integration, automation, and scalabilityCollaborate and evaluate payment vendors, processors, fintech partners, and networksSupport payment system implementations, upgrades, and integrationsAnalyze market trends such as real-time payments, open banking, embedded finance, and fraud prevention advancementsProvide insights to inform business strategy and investment decisionsOptimize payment success rates, authorization flows, reconciliation, and settlementAdvise on integrating payment platforms with BSS, CRM, mediation, and ERP systemsEnsure compliance with telecom regulations, tax rules, PCI DSS, and data privacy requirementsSupport revenue assurance, billing accuracy, leakage prevention, and audit readinessAdvise on fraud risk across payments, roaming, subscriptions, and promotionsCollaborate with finance and business teams on customer disputes, chargebacks, and credit riskEssential Skills:Strong experience with Telecom billing models (prepaid, postpaid convergent)Charging, rating, mediation, and invoicingPayment integrations and digital channelsDeep knowledge of payment rails and modelsCard payments (credit, debit, prepaid)ACH and wiresReal time paymentsDigital and mobile payments
