Job DescriptionJob SummaryThe Project Manager is responsible for overseeing multiple construction and fabrication projects from award through completion. This role requires strong organizational, communication, and technical skills to ensure projects are executed efficiently, accurately, and professionally. The position involves working closely with customers, internal teams, and vendors, with a key responsibility for managing change orders-including generating costs based on labor hours and materials and clearly justifying those costs to customers.Key ResponsibilitiesManage assigned projects with minimal supervision from start to finishRepresent the company professionally in all interactions with customers, vendors, and team membersMaintain organized, accurate, and up-to-date project documentation for easy access and referenceCommunicate effectively with customers and internal teams via email and verbal communicationRead, interpret, and understand construction and shop drawingsCoordinate schedules, materials, fabrication, and delivery activitiesMulti-task across multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlinesNegotiate project details, timelines, and change order impacts with customersApply strong math skills to calculate quantities, labor hours, and costsUnderstand the construction and structural steel fabrication processChange Order & Cost Management ResponsibilitiesIdentify scope changes and potential impacts to project cost and scheduleGenerate detailed change order pricing based on:Labor hours worked or projectedMaterial quantities and costsEquipment, subcontractor, or logistical impactsAccurately track labor hours and material usage related to change ordersPrepare clear, professional change order documentationJustify change order costs to customers with logical, transparent explanationsCommunicate cost impacts confidently and professionally to gain customer approvalEnsure all approved change orders are properly documented and billedRequired Skills & AbilitiesAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionExcellent computer skillsStrong organizational and time-management skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to negotiate professionally and effectivelyStrong math and analytical skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities simultaneouslyUnderstanding of construction processesAbility to read and interpret construction drawingsBasic knowledge of structural steel, welding, and assembly methods (preferred)Qualifications & CertificationsHigh School Diploma or College Degree (preferred, not mandatory)Experience in the structural steel fabrication industry (preferred, not mandatory)Project Management certification is a plusMilitary experience is a plusValid driver's license requiredSalaryCompensation is dependent on qualifications, experience, and skill level.Email resume to scott.slater@gogpac.com
