Someone that wants to be part of and help maintain our incredible culture!\nSummary\nOur Controller is the backbone to our overall general accounting and financial reporting. This individual ensures we have proper accounting policies and procedures, controls, and timely and accurate financial statements. Our Controller also manages our operational accounting functions including; payroll, A/R, A/P, general accounting.\nDuties include:\nManage Monthly Close process\nProduce recurring financial reports\nAssist with annual budgets and financial forecasts\nAssist and oversee tax, payroll, sales tax, federal, etc\nAd hoc reports as requested\nEnsure timeliness and accuracy of all financial reporting\nOversee all daily financial and accounting operations: Accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), payroll, job cost, etc.\nManage all accounting personnel as assigned\nEnsure accounting hardware and software systems are active and regularly updated\nDevelop, implement and manage financial and accounting systems, policies and procedures\nMentor, train and develop direct reports and other employees as required on financial and accounting management systems, policies and procedures\nDevelop documented desk procedures and performance metrics for direct reports\nDevelop tools and systems that provide key performance indicators (KPIs) for management\nCash flow planning, management and forecasting\nRecurring reconciliations to ensure accuracy\nDevelop and maintain relationships with key financial, accounting, legal and insurance partners and organizations\nBanking institutions, bonding and insurance companies, insurance agents, accounting and law firms, etc.\nPrepare information needed for and analyze information provided by key relationships for audits, reviews, renewals, financing, suits, etc.\nJoin and participate in industry related organizations and associations for continuing education\nManage risk and ensure continuous risk-mitigation\nInternal controls\nTax, GAAP, legal and other regulatory compliance\nReview customer agreements and contracts as necessary\nManage company owned assets including depreciation and amortization schedules\nOther duties as may be assigned\nSkills & Abilities\nHighly proficient in using accounting systems, technology and financial reporting. COINS experience preferable\nIn depth knowledge of construction accounting including Progress Billings and Percent Complete\nIn depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, Federal, State, and Local tax laws\nIn depth knowledge/expertise using business software including MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access\nDetail Oriented\nUses Critical thinking to find solutions for problems\nHighly Organized\nSelf-Starter; able to work with little supervision/direction in a demanding environment\nCommunication - Strong written and verbal communication skills\nEducation & Experience\nEducation; College Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
