As a Software Engineer at Visibly, you will be a core contributor to our engineering team, turning innovative ideas into reality. You'll work on the services that power our digital exams and provider platform, writing code that has a direct and meaningful impact on our users. We're looking for a builder who is passionate about creating robust, scalable software and wants to take ownership of their work in a collaborative, fast-moving environment.Please note that this is a fully remote position. However, candidates must be available during core working hours (8AM-5PM CT).What You'll DoDesign, build, and maintain features for our online vision tests and vision care platform.Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code, upholding our high standards for quality and compliance.Collaborate closely with product, design, and other engineers to bring new ideas to life. Take ownership of features from concept to deployment, directly impacting our patients and doctors.Contribute to a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.What You'll Bring3-5 years of professional software engineering experience.BS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.A strong sense of ownership and a passion for delivering results.Start-up or entrepreneurial experience is highly preferred.Strong experience developing with key AWS services (e.g., Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3).Proficiency in backend development with Node.js and/or Python.Solid experience with modern frontend frameworks (we use React/Redux) and JavaScript, HTML, & CSS.Experience writing effective unit and integration tests (we use Jest).Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (we use AWS CDK) and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).Bonus If You Have ItExperience with both AWS and GCP.A keen eye for UI/UX and high visual standards.AI Proficiency, particularly in generative AI implementations.Experience with Ruby on Rails.BenefitsCompetitive compensationHealth insurance, medical and dental401(k)Flexible vacationWork from home policySponsorship Unavailable: Visibly is unable to provide sponsorship or transfer any kind of Visa at this time.Salary Range: $115,000.00 - $135,000.00 Annual.We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
