Job Description Assistant Store ManagerReports To: Store ManagerSupervises: Key holders and Sales AssociatesStatus: Full-TimeResponsibilities:LeadershipMotivate the team by communicating the Alumni Hall visionShow a strong passion for the Alumni Hall brand and help set the standard for running the daily businessParticipate in productive monthly staff meetingsPeople DevelopmentRecruit, hire, train, and develop a high energy and high performance team that provides a superior customer experienceCoach team members in their job responsibilities to increase confidence and productivityEnsure that all team members adhere to all employment policiesRecognize performance issues and assist the Store Manager in the development of action plansAssist the Store Manager in the performance review processCreate a fun and exciting atmosphere for customers to shop in and for employees to work inVisual MerchandisingManage the efficient process of merchandise receipt, processing, merchandise placement, replenishment, and markdownsMaintain high standards of a clean and neat sales floor, cash wrap, and fitting roomsPerformanceBe able to open and close the store, handle deposits, and follow daily operations and expectationsEnsure that all E-commerce orders are filled and processed per company standards quickly and efficientlyStrive to achieve daily, monthly, and annual sales goalsStrive to achieve shrink goalsMaintain operational standards to secure the store's assetsAssist the Store Manager in achieving UPT, ADS, and E-Mail Capture goalsAssist the Store Manager in proper scheduling practicesQualifications:Minimum high school degree or equivalentMinimum 1 year retail management experienceAbility to lead a team, delegate, and follow-upAbility to train and develop employeesAbility to work well within a teamAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work a schedule based upon the business needs – including holidays, nights, and weekends.Strong verbal and communication skillsDisclaimer: This job description is not an employment agreement or contract.
