This position leads staff, monitors operational efficiency, and ensures all processes meet organizational standards for safety, quality, and productivity. The Environmental Facilities Health & Safety (EHS) is responsible for implementing and managing EHS compliance for the Orlando Florida facility as well as overseeing the daily maintenance and efficiency of the company facilities.\n\nResponsibilities:\nOversee daily warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and material handling.\nWorks alongside warehouse staff to complete tasks, demonstrating proper procedures and maintaining productivity standards, and adjusts daily work duties based on operational needs\nMaintains a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment, enforcing safety protocols and addressing hazards promptly\nSupports continuous improvement by identifying operational issues and recommending process enhancements.\nCommunicates effectively with management, purchasing, planning, and production teams to coordinate material flow and resolve issues.\nLeads, trains, and mentors team members to ensure consistent performance, accuracy, and adherence to company policies.\nPull materials for production orders and ensure timely availability for manufacturing needs.\nUpdate material locations and inventory records within Costpoint.\nProcess inventory project transfers and maintain proper traceability.\nIssue replacement materials in accordance with NC (nonconformance) dispositions.\nConduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.\nOversee EHS activities for manufacturing operations, including RF testing, operations, and hazardous materials handling.\nCollaborate with Operations and Engineering teams to implement safe work practices.\nCoordinate and deliver EHS training programs for employees and contractors.\nLead incident investigations and root cause analyses, and communicate lessons learned.\nEngage employees in safety committees and continuous improvement initiatives.\nTrack and report EHS performance metrics (lagging and leading indicators) to site leadership.\nDrive reduction in recordable incidents and environmental non-compliance events.\nSupport office moves, repairs, renovations\nCoordinate emergency preparedness\nOversee preventative maintenance of equipment, electrical, HVAC and\nLead and supervise the warehouse team\n\nSkills:\nExcellent leadership skills\nGood verbal communication skills.\nGood Math aptitude (adding, subtraction, multiplication, division)\nMS Windows, Excel, MRP/ERP (Costpoint, SAP, Oracle or any other).\n\nRequirements:\nMust have ERP/MRP transaction experience and Excel.\nWorking knowledge of EHS, OSHA\nFamiliarity with hazardous materials management, ergonomics, and radiation safety.\nCSP, CIH, CFM, FMP or equivalent certification preferred.\nStrong knowledge of building codes and safety regulations\n\nEducation and Experience:\nHigh School diploma\n\nAbout:\nThis position requires compliance with Comtech’s Drug-Free Workplace Program. Candidates must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening as a condition of hire. Employees may be subject to random, reasonable suspicion, and post-incident testing.
