This role performs structured copper cabling and wireless access point installation in support of a wireless network lifecycle replacement effort, including cable pulls, terminations, and testing under the direction of the crew lead.\nResponsibilities\nInstall, terminate, label, and test Category 6 copper cabling in support of wireless access point installation\nPerform cable pulls through pathways, telecommunications rooms, and ceiling spaces in accordance with approved plans\nTest and troubleshoot copper cabling to ANSI/TIA-568 standards using industry-standard test equipment\nInstall and mount access points and verify connectivity between the copper cabling and each access point\nRemove legacy access points, cabling, and mounting hardware, and support site restoration including fire-stop and ceiling-tile replacement\nSupport inventory and accountability of new and removed components\nMaintain accurate labeling and support updates to cabling documentation\nFollow quality control, safety practices, and applicable codes and standards\nRequired Qualifications\nS. citizenship\nActive Top Secret security clearance\nBICSI Installer 2, Copper (INSTC) certification\n2 to 3 years of structured copper cabling experience\nProficiency in Category 6 cable pulling, termination, and testing to ANSI/TIA-568 standards\nAbility to read cabling plans and follow installation drawings\nAbility to perform physical installation work, including working on ladders and lifts and lifting up to 50 pounds\nDesired Qualifications\nPrior experience working within the Pentagon and familiarity with its telecommunications infrastructure\nExperience installing within SCIF or other classified spaces, including familiarity with TEMPEST, ICD 705, and Red/Black separation requirements\nAdditional BICSI credentials\nOSHA 10 or 30, lift, or fall-protection certifications\nExperience with cable certification test equipment (e.g., Fluke DSX)\nThe anticipated annual salary range for this position is $105,030 – $115,020. This range is a good-faith estimate and not a guarantee of compensation.
