Foster a collaborative team environment while setting clear expectations, delivering ongoing training, and developing student staff as emerging leaders within a structured residential curriculum.Residential Community Engagement, Learning, and Student SupportCultivate a vibrant residential experience that extends student learning beyond the classroom and supports intellectual, social, and personal development. Facilitate community standards through proactive engagement, education, and when necessary, intervention and conduct processes. Respond to at-risk alerts, provide appropriate referrals, and support students in navigating academic, social, and personal challenges.Residential Operations, Stewardship, and ResponsivenessManage the day-to-day residential experience within assigned communities, ensuring spaces are actively utilized, well-maintained, and conducive to student success. Oversee an assigned programming budget and support accurate administrative processes. Monitor facility conditions, cleanliness, and safety compliance, ensuring timely reporting, follow-up, and escalation of concerns to appropriate partners. Provide input on occupancy trends and community needs. Participate in the on-call rotation and respond to student and facility-related concerns during evenings and weekends.Collaboration, Programs, and Institutional EngagementBuild strong partnerships across campus to support the residential experience and institutional goals, including collaboration with faculty, campus services, and families when appropriate. Serve as an active contributor to the broader student experience through required participation in all major institutional programs, including Orientation, Open Houses, and VSU Experiences.
