These engineering positions will require an active Professional Engineers license issued by any state.\n\nReviews and prepares preliminary design, design, and construction documents (drawings, specifications, cost estimates, special studies/reports) for projects. 35%\n\nProvides technical reviews, peer reviews, and checking of designs, drawings, engineering analysis, and technical documents, specifications, and contract correspondence, ensuring contractor documents are accurate and quality assurance processes were followed. Provides subject matter expertise, technical guidance, training, and advice to Park cultural resource staff, AML staff, Park engineers, and technicians and other internal and external stakeholders. 30%\n\nWorks closely with contracting officer and acquisition team as required for site visits, submittal review, and project modifications. 20%\n\nProvides technical assistance or emergency response to park staff. 10%\n\nShares expertise with division engineers and architects to inform scoping, designing, constructing, operating, and maintaining park infrastructure. Mentors division electrical engineer, as required. 5%\n\nOther\n\nRequired Certifications: Professional Engineer license in good standing with any state.\n\nHealth and Safety Considerations: Training in proper chemistry lab management and use of hazardous materials. Previous graduate coursework in a laboratory setting will satisfy this training.\n\nRequired Safety Gear: Fume hoods, extraction trunks, and personal respiratory devices will be used as necessary, depending on solvents used during conservation treatments.\n\nPhysical requirements: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.
