This internship provides hands-on exposure to quantity take-offs, plan review, cost analysis, and bid preparation while gaining real-world experience in a fast-paced construction environment. The role is designed to build a strong foundation for a future career in construction management, engineering, or estimating.\r\nRegular Job Duties\r\n\r\nAssist pre-construction and estimating teams with quantity take-offs using project plans and specifications.\r\nSupport the preparation and organization of bid documents, including plans, specifications, and addenda.\r\nReview drawings and specifications to identify scope requirements under the guidance of estimators and project engineers.\r\nHelp gather pricing from vendors and subcontractors and track bid responses.\r\nAssist with basic cost analysis and comparison of historical versus current estimating data.\r\nParticipate in internal pre-bid meetings and coordination sessions.\r\nMaintain organized electronic files for estimates, take-offs, and bid documentation.\r\nObserve and support Webber's Safety First culture and follow all company safety policies.\r\nPerform other duties as assigned to support the pre-construction team.\r\n\r\nQualifications\r\n\r\nCurrently enrolled in a Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Science, or related degree program.\r\nStrong mathematical skills with an interest in construction estimating and project planning.\r\nAbility to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications (preferred, not required).\r\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.\r\nStrong attention to detail, organization, and time-management skills.\r\nEffective verbal and written communication skills.\r\nWillingness to learn in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.\r\n\r\nWhat You Will Gain\r\n\r\nHands-on experience supporting pre-construction and estimating activities on real infrastructure projects.\r\nExposure to heavy civil construction markets including roadway, bridge, and utility work.\r\nPractical understanding of how projects move from estimate to construction.\r\nProfessional mentorship from experienced estimators and construction leaders.\r\n\r\nWebber and its companies (e.g. Webber, LLC, Webber Waterworks, LLC, Webber Infrastructure Management, Inc., Ferrovial Webber Energy, LLC) are equal opportunity employers.
