Lead all meetings associated with new product introductions (kick-off to project close). Provide interface, communication, and coordination with internal and external customers on matters about existing contracts and bid/proposal activities.\nManage and direct the daily execution of contract requirements to ensure that cost, schedules, and performance goals are met\nLead all meetings and the new product development team for assigned customer products\nProvide interface, communication, and coordination with internal and external customers on matters about existing contracts and bid/proposal activities\nParticipate as a team member or leader in bid and proposal activities. Ensure that the requirements of the request for proposal are met in the preparation and documentation of bids/proposals\nSupport new business opportunities in coordination with Business Development\nRepresent management at program reviews, meetings/calls, seminars, etc.\nPrepare for and participate in contract/subcontract negotiations. While representing the Company's interests, ensure that all government regulatory guidance is adhered to\nDevelop and implement plans/schedules to execute new contracts/subcontracts. Allocate and contract budgets for labor, material, travel, and purchased services\nFormally identifies, assesses, monitors, and mitigates risk throughout the program life cycle. Obtains management approval before making decisions that will cause deterioration of established programs, cost, and schedule objectives\nDevelop and implement corrective action plans when deviations from budget and/or schedules are evident. Seek senior management assistance in resolving schedule and budget problems as they arise\nPerform variance analysis of schedule and cost on a formal and informal basis and present them to senior management\nServe as the primary interface with the customer on all matters involving contract execution. Coordinate with other departments on the resolution of contractual problems with the customer. Coordinate with Business Development on issues about contract requirements, changes, and interpretations\nAssure that the conduct of contract requirements is executed by appropriate regulations and Company policies and procedures\nProvide leadership to the program team. Assures communications and cooperation among team members and resolves areas of conflict\nAssure timely closeout of completed programs to ensure that all obligations are satisfied and program documentation is properly recorded\nUnderstand and develop leading versus lagging indicators\nDevelop and execute program corrective action strategies\nDevelop and understand principles of program planning (developing BOMs, basis of estimate, etc)\nUnderstand lean and process improvement principles to integrate OpEx throughout the new product introduction cycle\nSupport, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values, and culture of the organization\nWhat You'll Bring\nEngineering degree or combination of process engineering work experience and education\nMinimum of 10 yrs. relevant experience in program management for Tier 1 sheet manufacturers in the commercial aviation industry\nKnowledge and demonstrated use of program management tools and procedures\nSolid leadership and management skills in cross-functional teams, particularly “influence management, conflict resolution”\nExperience the total program cycle: development to sustainment\nExperience with metrics for assessing and reporting program progress, productivity, and variance analysis\nExcellent customer interface skills\nKnowledge and experience working within AS9100 Quality Management System\nWhat We Value\nProven leadership experience growing and developing a high-performing program team for sheet metal manufacturers supporting the commercial aviation industry.\nExcellent interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills; a succinct verbal and written communication style.
