This position has responsibility in the manufacturing process of High Purity Quartz products used in the Semiconductor industry. The position requires technical excellence and the ability to work with a team of engineers and production workers to produce quality quartz products in a safe and cost-effective environment. Objectives are to lead the successful execution of improved overall safety of the work environment, yield, productivity, and reduced production variances. The position will work closely with continuous improvement and transformational activities supporting visual workplace, problem solving skills development, defect/waste reduction and enhanced workforce engagement. Position will also partner with internal and external stakeholders to improve processes supporting exceptional customer experience.\r\nResponsibilitiesProvide onsite leadership and engineering excellence while driving continuous improvement in areas of safety, product quality, product delivery, and product cost.\r\nEngage workforce to eliminate at‑risk conditions and behaviors in the site to continuously improve the team’s environmental, health, and safety performance.\r\nEstablish, update, and maintain production procedures, maintenance procedures, process/product control, and test data.\r\nAssist in the development of new products and processes.\r\nInteract with vendors for project implementation and proposals.\r\nLead and assist in the development and sustainability of 5S.\r\nFacilitate problem solving (root cause analysis) with corrective action through collaboration with Operations, Maintenance, and other support organizations.\r\nCollect and analyze process and production data to identify trends and ensure process stability.\r\nEnsure quality through analysis of incoming raw materials, process reliability, in‑process testing, and final product certification.\r\nPartner with the organization to drive business success through process and equipment reliability and teamwork.\r\nDrive cost reduction (VCP) through process improvements.\r\nDevelopment of trial plans and monitoring/execution of trial.\r\nAddress customer complaints through solid root cause and corrective action analysis.\r\nDevelop key internal stakeholder relationships with all business disciplines: including Technology, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, Commercial and IT Teams.\r\nMinimum Qualifications2‑4 years’ experience as a Process Engineer.\r\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, Electrical, Materials, or Ceramics Engineering.\r\nDemonstrated Mechanical Aptitude.\r\nDecisive and hands‑on energetic self‑starter with strong leadership skills that can deliver on their commitments.\r\nStrong analytical and technical expertise coupled with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills to all levels.\r\nComputer literacy – Proficient in Microsoft Office, web‑based applications (SharePoint).\r\nWilling to travel domestically and internationally up to 5% of the time.\r\nPreferred Qualifications2 years’ experience as Process Engineer in a manufacturing environment.\r\nDemonstrated Capital Project Management Skills including engagement and management of internal and external resources.\r\nPrior experience mentoring and coaching others with demonstrated Change Management skills.\r\nA track record of leading Continuous Improvement efforts with demonstrated sustained outcomes.\r\nExperience with statistical analysis tools (Minitab, etc).\r\nExperience with ERP systems (SAP, QAD, etc).\r\nLean Six Sigma Certification – Green Belt level.\r\nPrior experience with project/program management including Process Safety Management.\r\nCourage to learn new skills and assume broader roles in a fast‑paced environment.\r\nProficient in Visual Management, Visual Factory, GEMBA, and 5S.\r\nRoot Cause Analysis, Statistical Analysis and Interpretation including Designed Experiments, DMAIC and PDCA Methodologies.\r\nCompensation & BenefitsOur Process Engineers earn a variable compensation including base salary and bonus.
