Senior Paralegal - Private Real EstateOur client, a global asset management firm, is seeking a Senior Paralegal to join their impressive and collaborative team! This role will support attorneys advising the private real estate business, assisting with private funds, corporate governance, real estate investments, joint ventures, and regulatory matters across a range of alternative investment structures.This is a dynamic, high impact role that offers great exposure and visibility!Hybrid: 4 days on-site in their NYC office. Hours: 8:30-5:30Compensation: $90-100k base + discretionary bonus & competitive benefitsMajor Responsibilities/Activities:Form and manage entities related to each fund and its investments; organize and maintain corporate record books for all fund entitiesAssist with regulatory compliance matters for private funds and nontraded REITs, including the drafting and review of SEC filingsWork with outside counsel and the private real estate team in organizing and progressing time-sensitive transactional documents and deliverablesCoordinate closing logistics for real estate transactions, including tracking execution copies, closing sets, and other closing and post-closing items; maintain closing checklists for each transactionSupport partner onboarding by coordinating DDQs and third-party background checks; summarizing findings for investment committee materialsCoordinate responses to investor due diligence requests, support onboarding and prepare documentation for distribution platforms and participating dealersPrepare and maintain transaction-specific and fund-wide structure charts, draft presentation materials for internal, board, and investor meetingsPrepare weekly agendas for legal and broader team meetings and coordinate across departments to solicit feedbackCoordinate scheduling of meetings with outside counsel and internal constituents; take detailed meeting notes summarizing action items and adviceReview NDAs in accordance with internal policies and coordinate with internal and external partiesDevelop and maintain internal legal reference materials, resources, and centralized document repositories to support attorneys and team membersReview, track, and manage outside counsel and legal vendor invoices, including expense allocation and application of billing guidelines Requirements:Bachelor's Degree2-5+ years of law firm, in-house legal, or other relevant experience Strong analytical, project management, communication, interpersonal and leadership skillsResponsive, proactive, and able to work independently on routine projects and collaborate on complex matters as necessaryFocused and detail-oriented, with excellent oral, organizational, and writing skillsAbility to multi-task and prioritize workload to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentDemonstrates inclusive behaviors in support of a culture that values diverse perspectivesExperience with Microsoft Office Suite (including PowerPoint and basics of Excel); and ability to learn new databases/programs quickly (e.g. Concur)
