Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team. In this role, you will provide high-quality mental health care to individuals in various settings. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments to evaluate mental health conditions and needs. Perform physical examinations and utilize diagnostic tools to inform treatment decisions. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments and clinical guidelines. Provide medication management, including prescribing psychotropic medications as appropriate. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in hospital medicine and inpatient settings to coordinate care. Participate in utilization management activities to ensure effective use of resources. Engage in specimen collection processing when necessary for diagnostic purposes. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations. Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and wellness strategies. Experience A valid Nurse Practitioner license with a specialization in psychiatry or mental health. Previous experience in a psychiatric setting is preferred. Proficiency in patient assessment techniques and physical examinations is essential. Familiarity with dermal fillers is a plus but not mandatory. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team are crucial for success in this role.
