The successful candidate will work cooperatively, assisting the center staff with the operations of the center/classroom and other duties as deemed necessary.\n\nEssential Job Responsibilities:\nCarry out assigned duties according the Head Start Performance Standards and Program Policies and Procedures.\nAssist classroom staff and be actively engaged and involved in the operations of the classroom.\nAssist with any assessments and screenings as directed.\nAssure that no child is left alone.\nEnsure proper voice tone is used with children, families, staff and public.\nAssist in center as directed.\nAssist with data entry as directed.\n\nGeneral Job Responsibilities:\nBuild and maintain positive relationships with children and families served through the Head Start/Early Head Start program.\nPromote Head Start/Early Head Start goals and ideals.\nServe as an advocate for the children and families receiving Head Start/Early Head Start services.\nMaintain confidentiality of all information relating to children, families, and staff.\nMaintain knowledge of and compliance with the Head Start Performance standards and program policies and procedures.\nMaintain respectful and professional demeanor with children, families, public, coworkers, and management.\nRespect the diversity and culture of each child and family.\nDemonstrate a positive attitude and use positive language.\nArrive to and depart work site regularly and on-time.\nMust be a team player and assist other center staff when necessary.\nProvides parents and public with appropriate literature and materials regarding Head Start and other community resources.\nMaintain First Aide and CPR certification.\nReport all instances of child abuse and neglect as required by law and submit a written report of all hotline calls according to program policies and procedures.\n\nQualifications:\nA valid Missouri Driver's License\n\nHours:\nSubstitute Position / On an As-Needed Basis\n\nDAEOC is an equal opportunity employer.
