El Camino Health Medical Network is currently seeking a talented Dexa Technician to join our growing healthcare team!Pay: $40.87/hourShift: Monday-Thursday 9am-5:30pm and Sat 8:00am-4:30pmLocation: Willow Glen (San Jose)Silicon Valley Medical Development is recruiting full-time Dexa Technicians for our El Camino Health Primary Care and Multi-Specialty Care outpatient practices located in San Jose, CA.The Dexa Technician performs dexa scans providing a high standard of high quality diagnostic imaging service for the detection of osteoporosis.RequirementsDiploma of the College of Radiographers/Bachelor of Science in RadiographyCertificate of Competence in Bone DensitometryAbility to perform DEXA scan using departmental and practice policies and proceduresIn depth knowledge of local bone densitometry service procedures, reporting and recall protocolsKnowledge of Bone Density Procedures and ProtocolsKnowledge of regulations and rules for Radiation safetyKnowledge of infection control policyKnowledge of equipment used in order to be aware of malfunctions and errors and to report such incidents to the radiology managerExperience working with an EMRAbility to accurately type a minimum of 40 WPMStrong verbal and written communications, and active listening skillsSolid patient/guest relations skills with the ability to communicate in a professional, courteous and efficient mannerAbility to perform basic mathExcellent attention to detailAbility to effectively organize and prioritize task in order to complete assignments within the time allotted to maintain standard workflowAbility to work effectively as a team member who is flexible, cooperative and willing to assist others
