Starbucks Lead Barista
The Starbucks Lead Barista is responsible for delivering exceptional guest service while preparing and serving Starbucks beverages and food items in a fast‑paced hotel environment. This role plays a key part in creating a welcoming and memorable experience for hotel guests by upholding Starbucks brand standards and expectations.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for role modeling our customer service commitmentFollow our customer service commitment (smiling, offering a friendly greeting, learning guests’ names and orders, assuming the best in others, saying thank you) in each interactionActively seeks to recognize, include, appreciate, support and delight our guestUses operational tools and training to develop coffee/product knowledge and helps our guest find their favorites Connect guests with events and offers by staying informed about relevant informationAccurately rings customer orders and follows proper cash handling proceduresMaintain a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual eventsContributes to positive team environmentFollows Starbucks and Peachtree operational policies and procedures including those for cash handling and safety/securityMaintain a clean and organized workspace Provide quality beverages, and food products consistently by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products and equipmentMaintain regular and punctual attendanceAssist with trainingProvide feedback to store manager on team performance during shiftCreate a positive learning environment by providing clear, specific, timely and respectful coaching and feedback to team members on shift to ensure operational excellence and to improve team performance Develop positive relationships with team by understanding and addressing individual motivation, needs and concerns.Execute store operations during scheduled shifts.Organize opening and closing duties as assigned.Follow all cash management and cash register policies and ensures proper cash management practices are followed by shift teamFollow up with baristas during the shift to ensure the delivery exceptional customer service for all guests.Recognizes and reinforces individual and team accomplishments by using existing organizational tools and by collaborating with store manager to find new, creative, and effective methods of recognition. Utilizes operational tools to achieve operational excellence during the shift.Job Qualifications And Required SkillsCustomer service experience in a hospitality or restaurant environment - 1 year Six (6) months of experience in a position that required constant interacting with and fulfilling the requests of customers At least six (6) months of experience delegating tasks to other employees and/or coordinating the tasks of two (2) or more employeesAvailable to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights and/or holidaysMeet store operating policies and standardsAbility to prepare and coach the preparation of food and beverages to standard recipes or customized for customers, including recipe changes such as temperature, quantity of ingredients or substituted ingredients Ability to direct the work of others Ability to learn quickly Effective oral communication skills Knowledge of the restaurant and hospitality environment Strong interpersonal skills Ability to work as part of a team Ability to build relationshipsPeachtree Group provides a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance.
