This role requires a high level of attention to detail and consistency to ensure proper alignment, sequencing, and overall assembly quality. This position is intended for experienced manufacturing personnel capable of performing precision assembly work, maintaining quality standards, and supporting process improvements during initial facility ramp-up.\r\nCore Assembly & Stacking\r\n\r\n\r\nAssemble transformer core components (yokes and legs) using pre-cut laminations.\r\n\r\n\r\nFollow work instructions and technical drawings to ensure proper sequencing and alignment.\r\n\r\n\r\nMaintain stack integrity, alignment, and dimensional accuracy throughout assembly.\r\n\r\n\r\nPrepare core assemblies for downstream operations.\r\n\r\n\r\nQuality Control & Inspection\r\n\r\n\r\nInspect laminations prior to assembly for damage, coating condition, or non-conformance.\r\n\r\n\r\nVerify alignment, sequencing, and dimensional accuracy of assembled core components.\r\n\r\n\r\nIdentify defects such as gaps, misalignment, or damaged materials and take corrective action.\r\n\r\n\r\nEnsure conformance to engineering specifications and work instructions.\r\n\r\n\r\nAccurately log production data, material traceability, and quality yields into the ERP or production tracking system.\r\n\r\n\r\nMaterial Handling\r\n\r\n\r\nSafely transport laminations and core components using overhead cranes and lifting equipment.\r\n\r\n\r\nStage materials for efficient assembly while maintaining organization and traceability.\r\n\r\n\r\nTools & Equipment\r\n\r\n\r\nUse hand tools, fixtures, and assembly aids required for core stacking and alignment.\r\n\r\n\r\nPerform basic inspection and care of tools and equipment.\r\n\r\n\r\nProduction Support\r\n\r\n\r\nMaintain consistent assembly quality and minimize rework.\r\n\r\n\r\nAssist in resolving assembly issues and support continuous improvement efforts.\r\n\r\n\r\nRequired Qualifications\r\n\r\n\r\nHigh School Diploma or GED required.\r\n\r\n\r\n3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment.\r\n\r\n\r\nExperience in mechanical or precision assembly work.\r\n\r\n\r\nAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.\r\n\r\n\r\nBasic use of measurement tools such as calipers and gauges.\r\n\r\n\r\nStrong attention to detail and manual dexterity.\r\n\r\n\r\nAbility to identify assembly or quality issues and take corrective action.\r\n\r\n\r\nSafety & Certifications\r\n\r\n\r\nExperience with overhead cranes or lifting equipment preferred\r\n\r\n\r\nAbility to follow all workplace safety requirements.\r\n\r\n\r\nPreferred Qualifications\r\n\r\n\r\nAssociate degree (AAS) in Electrical Technology, Mechanical Technology, Mechatronics, or related field strongly preferred.\r\n\r\n\r\nExperience in transformer manufacturing, electrical equipment assembly, or similar industries.\r\n\r\n\r\nExperience working with precision assemblies requiring tight tolerances.\r\n\r\n\r\nDemonstrated ability to troubleshoot assembly or build issues.\r\n\r\n\r\nExperience supporting process improvements or training other Technicians.\r\n\r\n\r\nAdditional Requirements\r\n\r\n\r\nAbility and willingness to travel Internationally for training, equipment commissioning, or support activities, including extended travel during initial facility ramp-up.\r\n\r\n\r\nMust be legally authorized to work in the United States.\r\n\r\n\r\nAbility to meet the physical requirements of the role as outlined below.\r\n\r\n\r\nPhysical Requirements\r\n\r\n\r\nAbility to stand for extended periods during the work shift.\r\n\r\n\r\nAbility to lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs, with or without assistance.\r\n\r\n\r\nAbility to perform repetitive tasks involving hand and arm motion.\r\n\r\n\r\nAbility to bend, reach, and work in a manufacturing environment around moving equipment.\r\n\r\n\r\nAbility to safely work in an industrial environment using required personal protective equipment (PPE).\r\n\r\n\r\nWork Environment\r\n\r\n\r\nIndustrial manufacturing environment.\r\n\r\n\r\nExposure to heavy materials and moving equipment.\r\n\r\n\r\nRequires standing, lifting, and repetitive precision assembly tasks.\r\n\r\n\r\nThis position deals with ITAR facilities and applicants must be a US Citizen or a lawful permanent resident.\r\nSanmina is an Equal Opportunity Employer -
