A well maintained shop and warehouse is the key to making that happen. As a Warehouse Assistant you are responsible for making sure the shop and/or warehouse is well maintained and provides manual labor for all warehouse functions. You will report to the Warehouse Manager.\n\nWhat You'll Do\nEnsure the shop and warehouse areas are kept clean, organized, and free of debris\nAssist with yard operations including the loading of pipe, assembling orders, general cleaning, organization, stocking, and repairs\nReceive, store, and distribute materials, tools, equipment, and products within the warehouse\nFill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items\nAssemble, mark, open, and count various stock items\nDrive a vehicle (generally one ton or less) within the local area to transport passengers and make routine pickup/delivery of supplies and materials\nOperate several types of power motor vehicles including but not limited to: Single Axle & Tandem Axle Truck Tractors, Medium Duty, Single Axle Dump Trucks & Flatbed Crew Trucks, Semi-Tailors, Flatbed, End Dump, Lowboys, and Equipment Tailors\nUtilize computer record keeping system to track and monitor inventory, small tools, and equipment\nMaintain file system for all warehouse functions\nPerform other responsibilities as requested by leadership\nWhat You'll Have\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent\nPrior experience with inventory counting and tracking methods\nWhat You'll Get\nBenefit Package including Medical, Dental and Vision Coverage\n401K w/ Company Match\nVoluntary Life & AD&D Insurance and Short-Term and Long-Term Disability\nVacation/Sick Time and Paid Holidays\nPotential Bonus Opportunities\nCareer Development Opportunities\nEmployee Discounts\nWeekly Payroll\nWork Environment\nWork is performed in a typical warehouse environment and an outdoor construction yard\nFlexibility to work various schedules and stay late when necessary with little or no notice\nMust be able to read documents, use a computer, communicate verbally and in writing\nMobility required within an office, warehouse and construction site environments\nAbility to occasionally lift up to 80 pounds\nWorking safely requires quick/accurate hand-eye coordination and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner\nLegal Stuff\nPass pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug screens\nProvide valid US work authorization documents for E-Verify\nSatisfactory results of pre-employment background check results\nValid Driver’s License with clean driving record\nPre-employment medical fit-for-duty test; hold/obtain DOT medical card\nOur Commitment to Opportunity\n\nThis job description is subject to change at any time.
