You’ll be an initial member of a small, cross-functional team maintaining this product on contract. This position requires the ability to obtain a clearance; U.S. citizenship is required. This role requires quarterly travel for in person team planning and collaboration events.\n\nThis isn’t a maintain-the-backlog role. That said, we’re building for users who need reliability and trust, so craft and attention to detail matter.\n\nYou’ll work daily with our Product Manager, Engineering Lead, and Product Team. Headquartered in Tysons, Virginia, LMI is committed to delivering impactful results that strengthen missions and drive lasting value.\nResponsibilities:\nEngage in and improve the whole lifecycle of services—from inception and design, deployment, operation, and refinement using an agile methodology\nSupport services before they go live through activities such as system design consulting, developing software platforms and frameworks, capacity planning, and launch reviews\nEmbrace the DevSecOps culture with a commitment to automate what can be automated\nMaintain services once they are live by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, and overall system health\nScale systems sustainably through mechanisms like automation; evolve systems by pushing for changes that improve reliability and velocity\nPractice sustainable incident response and actively participate in retrospectives\nQualifications:\nRequired:\nEligability to obtain a clearance required\nMinimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field\n7-10 years’ experience as a Platform Engineer\nMinimum of 5+ years of experience programming in Python. Ability to debug, optimize code, and automate routine tasks\nSystematic problem-solving approach, coupled with effective communication skills and a sense of drive\nUnderstanding of Unix/Linux operating systems\nDemonstrated experience building continuous, automated build and deploy pipelines\nDemonstrated experience in conditional procedure of build and deploy pipeline based on security scans of source and artifact\nCapable of working with software development team and platform infrastructure team to provide meaningful guidance to both for code development and deployment\nIn-depth knowledge of version control of release artifacts to facilitate upgrade rollout and rollback\nStrong understanding of containerization of web applications\nUnderstanding and familiarity with container orchestration engines such as K8s (EKS, AKS, GKE, Kops, OpenShift)\nExperience with GitLab CI/CD\nExperience with bash shell scripting\nDesired:\nAgile, Lean, DevOps, Cloud, Security+ or other professional certification\nFamiliarity with DoD IT standards and federal security standards strongly desired\nKnowledge of the Army software development process and its technologies\nHands-on experience using agile software development methodologies\nStrong communication skills and the ability to work well on a cross-functional agile team\nExperience working in a consultant/client environment\n\nTarget salary range: $101,145 - $192,000\n\nDisclaimer: The salary range displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is not a guarantee of compensation.
