Mechanical Engineer

WE DESIGN AND BUILD critical temperature measuring instrumentation for our customer's in Chemical Plants! This is a Hands-On opportunity. Ideal candidate is technically minded, understands how things work and has an innate curiosity on finding solutions.SynTemp is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to assist with our latest product line for Chemical Plants. This position is hands-on - from planning to production. This position will involve working with reviewing/updating technical drawings via SolidWorks, CNC machines, laser machines, pressure testing equipment, site work and a variety of other manufacturing roles. We are looking to hire a "Problem Solving" individual. This position will involve customer site-visits, after appropriate training and certifications.Responsibilities:Troubleshoot instrumentation and related equipment.Attend meetings with other engineers regarding specifications and/or needed upgrades on product line and new high temperature measuring instrumentation.Reading and understanding technical drawings/CAD drawings/schematics - Solidworks.Assemble, install, and test electrical components, equipment and/or control devices.Communication with customer's and site status (Chemical Plants).Knowledge of basic hand tools, drills, electric screwdrivers, wire strippers, crimpers, etc. is required, as well as basic math and measurement skills.Testing experience required- preferably experience with volt meters, calipers, etc.Experience with laser machines and/or 3D printers a plusFollow company's policies and proceduresFollow company's safety protocolsInteract with other employees and engineersQualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from an Accredited American University.5+ years Experience as a Mechanical EngineerAbility to read/understand/update technical drawingsStrong problem solving and critical thinking skillsTechnically minded - Likes to work with their handsAbility to multi-task, organize, and prioritize workHand-On experience (hand tools, 3D Printing, Design, etc)Must Speak/Read EnglishCompany will conduct background check, as well as administer drug-testing.This is a "Smoke-Free" facility.Benefits:Dental insuranceHealth insuranceSEPPaid time offPay is based on experience.
