Compounding Operator

Job Characteristics:
Must have above average attention to details and be concerned for correctness of work

Position is task oriented with a conservative, careful and cautious approach to work
Must have high standard for quality and accuracy while adhering to guidelines and procedures
Job Responsibilities:
Operate manufacturing equipment, presses, injection molding machine , compounding, hand tools, etc.
Operators must be flexible to work in various departments. The home department for this position will be compounding.
Carefully measure and weigh powder components for batching of compounding mix
Operate, clean and maintain compounding equipment
Understand production plan and produce feedstock to support the plan
Complete appropriate production forms and records as directed
Maintain safe and clean work environment - Clean equipment, production and work area
Responsible for quality of work
Perform preventative maintenance as required
Complete assigned tasks on time and to required specification(s)
Handle material as directed to ensure an uninterrupted flow of work
Advise on better means to complete the functions within the job and continually improve the operation
Perform additional duties within the broad scope of the job
Work performed in a manufacturing environment.
No travel requirements
Follow the standards of ISO13485 and ISO 9001 International Standards
Measure products using calipers, microscopes, etc.
Work at different workstations as required, or shift from one station to another, during the manufacturing process
Ensure customer requirements and shipping demands are met
Overtime as needed
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
High School Diploma
General mechanical aptitude
Basic math skills
Orderly and responsible with tools and work area
Willingness to learn new skills
Must be safety conscious - wear safety glasses, etc.
Ability to lift 50 pounds
Present self in a clean, well-kept manner
Excellent team work and strong focus on customer service
