You will work as part of a collaborative team of software developers focused on accelerating enterprise application updates and modernization efforts.\r\nPosition Responsibilities\r\n\r\n\r\nDesign, program, test, document, and maintain computing applications and modernization solutions\r\n\r\n\r\nGather and evaluates end-user requirements and translates them into technical solutions (using AI tools)\r\n\r\n\r\nUtilize AI agents and tools to support the writing and compilation of code and the construction of database objects based on documented design\r\n\r\n\r\nAnalyze information to determine architecture specifications, software compatibility, application security needs, and other application architecture requirements\r\n\r\n\r\nModify or upgrades applications to maintain software functionality and performance\r\n\r\n\r\nIdentify and resolve programming or application architecture problems\r\n\r\n\r\nSupport technology stack updates and legacy application modernization efforts across enterprise teams\r\n\r\n\r\nApply AI tooling to support code analysis, refactoring, test generation, documentation, and migration activities\r\n\r\n\r\nSupport Specialized-Driven Development (SDD) and/or Design-Driven Development (DDD) practices to improve traceability and quality\r\n\r\n\r\nCollaborate closely with Information Security, Cloud Enablement, and vendor partners to ensure secure and compliant AI adoption\r\n\r\n\r\nTrain and support developers and Agile Scrum teams on best practices in AI tooling, secure development, and modernization methods\r\n\r\n\r\nReview system performance and recommending improvements to support maintainability, scalability, and security\r\n\r\n\r\nBasicQualifications (Required Skills/Experience):\r\n\r\n\r\n3+ years of experience with Artificial Intelligence (AI) software development\r\n\r\n\r\n3+ years of experience with application development in one or more programming languages such as C#/C-Sharp, .NET, C, C++, Java, Python, R, SQL, Pro*C/C++, Perl, Shell Scripting, and Web/HTML technologies (JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5, web services, REST, microservices etc.)\r\n\r\n\r\n3+ years of experience in working with agile teams and agile software development\r\n\r\n\r\n3+ years of experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)\r\n\r\n\r\nPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):\r\n\r\n\r\n5+years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience\r\n\r\n\r\nExperience with AI tooling for software development, code transformation, test automation, documentation, or analysis\r\n\r\n\r\nExperience supporting legacy modernization initiatives, including rehosting, re-platforming, rearchitecting, or refactoring\r\n\r\n\r\nExperience with Spec-Driven Development or Design-Driven Development practices\r\n\r\n\r\nExperience demonstrating initiative and ownership in supporting enterprise modernization and AI adoption efforts\r\n\r\n\r\nExperience communicating clearly and effectively with developers, architects, security partners, leaders, and vendors\r\n\r\n\r\nExperience working independently or with limited direction on moderately complex assignments\r\n\r\n\r\nExperience training, coaching, or mentoring developers on modern engineering tools and practices\r\n\r\n\r\nExperience collaborating with vendors on technical solution evaluation or adoption\r\n\r\n\r\nExperience with secure coding, Dev/Sec/Ops, Continuous Integration/ Continuous Development (CI/CD), and enterprise governance practices\r\n\r\n\r\n5+ years of experience in a dedicated Software Developer role\r\n\r\n\r\n5+ years of experience with database design, development of queries in Oracle/SQL Server/MySQL\r\n\r\n\r\nConflict of Interest\r\nSuccessful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.\r\nDrug Free Workplace\r\nBoeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria are met as outlined in our policies.\r\nPay & Benefits:\r\nAt Boeing, we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract, engage and retain the top talent.
