Divisional Eligibility Support Specialist - East

Position SummaryThe Divisional Eligibility Support Specialist provides expert guidance and hands-on support to facility and regional staff related to Long-Term Care Medicaid Eligibility (MEPD). This role ensures accurate application completion, timely case resolution, and ongoing compliance with state and federal Medicaid regulations. The position requires a strong field presence, collaboration across departments, and a passion for supporting the elderly and handicapped population.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesProvide guidance and support to facility staff regarding MEPD policies and proceduresIdentify facilities requiring assistance and coordinate efforts to resolve eligibility concerns effectivelyReview and assist with the completion of Medicaid applications, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all documentationMaintain consistent communication with facility staff, regional staff, caseworkers, and other stakeholders to support timely case resolutionParticipate in Private Aging calls to identify and address Medicaid and Medicaid Pending-related issuesMaintain in-field presence a minimum of three (3) weeks per month to provide on-site support and trainingMaintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all state and federal Medicaid regulationsComplete and submit written reviews of facility visitsPerform additional duties as assignedMinimum QualificationsMinimum of five (5) years of professional experienceWorking knowledge of Long-Term Care Medicaid Eligibility (MEPD)Ability to operate a 10-key calculator by touchStrong typing skills and general computer proficiencyProficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and OutlookAbility to communicate effectively with residents, the public, and coworkersDemonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and meet deadlinesAbility to perform all essential job duties and meet physical job requirementsGenuine caring and interest in serving elderly and handicapped individualsAbility to comply with the Patients’ Bill of Rights and Employee ResponsibilitiesAbility to comply with all company and departmental safety policies and proceduresAbility to read and write in EnglishBenefits (Full-Time)Comprehensive Coverage: Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance Extra Protection: AD&D, Short-Term Disability, Cancer, Critical Illness, and more Life Insurance: Whole and Term Policies Professional Growth: Tuition Reimbursement for continued education Time to Recharge: Paid Time Off Retirement Planning: Immediate 401(k) eligibility Unwavering Support: Exceptional corporate resources and leadership Equal Opportunity EmployerCreative Solutions in Healthcare is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.We are committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and respectful work environment.
