The candidate will be responsible for designing, prototyping, and evaluating custom Echo hardware devices. The candidate will drive manufacturing vendors, and own design verification activities for medical device product development.\nPrimary Role and Responsibilities Design and prototype mechanical components and assemblies including rapid prototyping, machining, injection molding\n\nDevelop component and assembly drawings including tolerance stack-ups and analyses\n\nIdentify and manage manufacturing vendors of components and assemblies\n\nPerform simulations and analysis (FEA, thermal, etc) with vendors to drive design decisions\n\nDevelop custom electromechanical systems for characterization and testing of assemblies and components\n\nDevelop and execute design verification activities\n\nQualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or related field\n\nMinimum 7 years of post-academic, industry experience in product development of electro-mechanical hardware devices\n\nExperience with, and inclination toward hands-on rapid prototyping\n\nExperience designing mechanical components for manufacturing such as plastic or metal parts, mechanical assemblies, printed circuit boards, cables\n\nExperience selecting and working with component and contract manufacturers\n\nExperience with dimensioning and tolerance analyses\n\nMinimum 7 years of experience using computer-aided design (CAD) tools such as Solidworks including concept development, detailed design, and corresponding assembly drawings\n\nExperience with analysis tools for thermal, and structure analyses (eg: FEA, ANSYS, etc)\n\nExperience developing and implementing custom electro-mechanical test systems (eg: mechanical fatigue testing, reliability testing, tensile testing, etc)\n\nExperience working within a quality system\n\nOther Qualifications Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field\n\nKnowledge of medical device development processes, including design controls, risk management, and regulatory compliance for medical devices\n\nStrong collaboration mindset\n\nSuperior written and verbal communication skills\n\nOccasional travel to vendors ( What We Offer An opportunity to work on exciting, cutting-edge projects to transform patients’ lives in a highly collaborative work environment.\n\nCompetitive compensation, including stock options.\n\nComprehensive benefits package.\n\n401(k) program with matching contributions.\n\nEqual Opportunity Employer Echo Neurotechnologies is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE).
