Ensures the production of high-precision components for aerospace and defense applications, while maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nProgramming and Setup:\nDevelop and optimize CNC programs for Swiss-style lathes using Part Maker.\nSet up machines, including selecting and installing appropriate tooling.\nAdjust machine settings to meet specific job requirements.\nQuality Control:\nPerform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet specifications.\nTroubleshoot and resolve any issues related to machine performance or product quality.\nMaintain detailed records of production and quality metrics.\nProcess Improvement:\nIdentify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency.\nCollaborate with engineering and production teams to refine manufacturing processes.\nStay updated with the latest advancements in CNC technology and machining techniques.\nDocumentation and Reporting:\nPrepare and maintain documentation for CNC programs, machine setups, and production runs.\nGenerate reports on production performance, including output, quality, and downtime.\nEnsure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.\n\nSkills Knowledge and Expertise\n\nEducation:\nHigh school diploma or GED required.\nAssociate’s degree in CNC programming, machining, or a related field preferred.\nExperience:\nMinimum of 5 years of experience in CNC programming and machining, with a focus on Swiss-style lathes.\nProficiency in CNC programming software and CAD/CAM systems.
