As an Algorithm Developer, you will support the development of algorithms in a multitude of disciplines from Signal/Image Processing, Space Domain Awareness (SDA), Satellite Communication (SATCOM), and Signals Intelligence (SIGINT). As a technical lead, you will guide a team of developers to see these algorithms from prototype to operations.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nLeading a small software development team consisting of researchers, software algorithm developers, and full-stack/cloud-native developers to implement a multitude of algorithms which solve a broad set of challenges for our various customers and their domains\n\nApplying knowledge of data structures and algorithms to create efficient solutions to our customers’ needs\n\nUsing cloud services to deploy software solutions\n\nReviewing relevant publications to understand and apply cutting edge concepts to defense and commercial applications\n\nWriting technical documentation supporting code, program capabilities, and user-guides\n\nQualifications – Required\n\nActive TS/SCI Clearance\n\nWillingness to obtain a Counter Intelligence (CI) polygraph if required in support of our customer\n\nB.S. in computer science, computer engineering, mathematics, physics, or any other relevant STEM fields\n\nExperience leading an interdisciplinary team of researchers and software developers\n\nEffective communicator with the ability to write and present technical reports\n\nExperience with any of the following languages: Python, C/C++, Java, or Rust\n\nExperience developing algorithms in any one or more of the following domains: Signal/Image Processing, Space Domain Awareness (SDA), Satellite Communication (SATCOM), and Signals Intelligence (SIGINT)\n\n5+ years of software development experience preferably developing algorithms for high performance computing\n\nQualifications – Desired\n\nM.S. or PhD in computer science, computer engineering, mathematics, physics, or any other relevant STEM fields\n\nExperience with Linux\n\nFamiliarity with using AWS cloud computing resources such as EC2, S3, Lambda, etc.\n\nExperience with any of the following additional languages: C#, Go, or R\n\nExperience with popular computational libraries: OpenCV, Boost, Eigen, Dlib, etc.\n\nExperience with source code version control systems\n\nExperience implementing algorithms on the GPU in Python or C++ using CUDA and other CUDA libraries\n\nExperience in application deployment, virtualization, and containerization\n\nExperience working with various Remote Sensing datasets (e.g. EO/OPIR/SAR images, passive RF, etc.)\n\nExperience developing modeling and simulation environments or developing OpenAI Gym environments for Reinforcement Learning problems\n\nPay Range\n$82,100–$172,400 (national average for the position)\n\nCAE is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
