Clinician- Young Adult Services
BHcare is seeking a compassionate and skilled Young Adult Services (YAS) Clinician to provide high-quality, evidence-based clinical care to young adults in both residential and outpatient settings.This role is ideal for a clinician who is passionate about supporting individuals navigating mental health and substance use challenges during a critical stage of independence and recovery.Working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary treatment team, the YAS Clinician plays a vital role in helping clients build resilience, achieve recovery goals, and transition successfully into adulthood.This position is a full-time position, 37.5 hours per week. The schedule will be as follow: Monday, Wednesday and Friday 8:30am-5pm and Tuesday and Thursday 11:30am-8pmKey ResponsibilitiesClinical Care & TreatmentServe as the primary clinician for an assigned caseloadProvide individual, group, and family therapy using evidence-based practicesConduct psychosocial assessments, intake evaluations, and develop individualized treatment plansDeliver crisis intervention and emergency assessments as neededCare Coordination & CollaborationCollaborate with psychiatrists, treatment teams, families, and community providersAct as a liaison between clients and external systems (hospitals, benefits providers, community resources)Support discharge planning and continuity of careRecovery PlanningDevelop and manage integrated, person-centered recovery plansMonitor client progress and adjust treatment plans accordinglyFacilitate regular care reviews with clients and care teamsDocumentation & ComplianceComplete timely and accurate clinical documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries Maintain compliance with agency standards, payer requirements, and state regulationsManage insurance authorizations and utilization reviewsProgram & Team ParticipationParticipate in team meetings, case reviews, and program developmentProvide coverage and support across YAS residential and outpatient servicesContribute to a collaborative and supportive team environmentQualificationsWhat You BringMaster’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work or a related field required Connecticut licensure required (LCSW preferred; LMSW, LPC, or license-eligible candidates considered) Clinical experience in mental health and/or substance use treatment preferredWhy Join BHcare?Make a Meaningful Impact: Help young adults navigate critical life transitions and achieve lasting recoveryMission-Driven Work: Be part of an organization dedicated to compassionate, person-centered careCollaborative Culture: Work alongside experienced clinicians and multidisciplinary teams who value partnership and supportProfessional Growth: Access ongoing training, supervision, and opportunities for licensure advancement and career developmentInnovation in Care: Contribute to forward-thinking, evidence-based programs that evolve to meet community needsSupportive Environment: Thrive in a workplace that prioritizes staff well-being, inclusion, and ethical practiceWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
