We enable them to work with a single source to get their product the market access success they need.\r\nJOB SUMMARY\r\nTest Technician is responsible for installation, performing standard testing and evaluation on a variety of door hardware products and preparing technical reports. This position works under general supervision.\r\nSALARY & BENEFITS INFORMATION\r\nIn addition to competitive compensation packages, when working with Intertek you can expect benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k) with company match, generous vacation / sick time (PTO), tuition reimbursement and more.\r\nESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES\r\nSetting up test apparatus for Door Hardware testing (Hinges, door closers, door locks, and deadbolts)\r\nBuilding simple test fixtures\r\nPreparing test samples which may include assembly tasks\r\nOperating test equipment\r\nObtaining and recording test data in accordance with standards\r\nAnalyze test data and performing routing calculations\r\nPrepare technical reports\r\nMaintaining equipment and facilities\r\nPerforming other work as required\r\nESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or equivalent\r\nForklift operator experience preferred\r\n0-3 years directly related experience in construction or installation of door hardware products\r\nAbility to utilize basic shop equipment and various hand tools\r\nAbility to review, understand, and convey technical information in an effective manner\r\nAbility to apply common-sense understanding to carry out simple one or two step instructions\r\nAbility to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables\r\nAbility to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment\r\nPhysical dexterity to execute precise tasks using delicate materials and equipment\r\nPhysical ability to routinely lift at least 50 pounds\r\nPhysical ability to sit, stand, crouch, bend, climb stairs and ladders, crawl, push, pull, etc. as required to perform job duties\r\nAbility to operate Forklift\r\nStrong interpersonal skills\r\nStrong communication skills, in both verbal and written formats\r\nMicrosoft Office software expertise, including Word, Excel and Outlook\r\nValid driver's license and reliable driving record (required)\r\nIntertek: Total Quality.
