Our core promise is, Kids have fun, parents see results.\nWhat are we looking for?\nWe are looking for a Coding Instructor (Sensei) to join our team of dynamic, energetic, forward-thinking minds, working toward our common goal: providing a fun and safe learning environment for children. Our Senseis are the lifeblood of our Code Ninjas center. This individual oversees the day-to-day coaching and student engagement. Are you experienced in working with children? Are you pasionate about STEM or technology? Do you think STEM skills should be taught in a fun environment? Do you enjoy problem-solving and want to try teaching young engineering minds? Have you mentored youth? This could be the role for you.\nResponsibilities include:\nTraining – go through the coding curriculum and learn it\nCreate a positive and safe environment in which students can grow\nWork with children to determine their skill sets\nProvide feedback to parents after working with students\nFollow opening/closing duties as needed\nClean dojo throughout the day to ensure cleanliness is kept up to corporate standards\nReport weekly to Center Director for planning purposes\nReport daily to Center Director with respect to day’s activities, successes, and challenges in the dojo\nQualifications:\nMust be fun to work with and thrive in fast-paced environments where requirements can change\nMust be kind and patient\nWorking history with children ages 5 and up (mentoring, coaching, tutoring, siblings, etc.)\nPreferred experience in teaching, mentoring, or child care\nWorks well with others; collaborates\nKnowledgeable about coding and technology; or able to quickly pick up concepts\nPrefer tinkerers, those who are willing and able to experiment with technology and teach students to experiment\nRequirements:\nHigh School or College degree.\nExperience with working with kids, tutoring or coding and other STEM-related fields.\nMust be authorized to work in the United States\nDesired Characteristics:\nMotivated and passionate individual who strives for excellence and continuous improvement\nReliable, punctual and who holds high standards for themselves and the team\nInspiring, Energized and innovative.\nDeadline and detail oriented\nOne who enjoys working with kids. A fun personality is a MUST!\nSchedule:\nWork at least two shifts per week during operating hours of the center.\nDuring the School Year:\nM-F 2:00 PM - 7:00 PM and Sat 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM\nSummer Schedule:\nM-F 8:30 PM - 7:00 PM and Sat 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM\nYou can work more days of the week based on your availability. Occasionally, additional hours will be requested for various Code Ninjas events that are in the evenings on week days or weekends.
