IH+H currently has 13+ facilities with 22+ micro-communities scattered across Orange County, Los Angeles County and the Inland Empire.Job DescriptionThe Risk & Compliance Generalist provides advanced operational and regulatory support to the Risk & Compliance Manager. This role is responsible for conducting compliance monitoring, coordinating litigation documentation, supporting contract compliance efforts, and maintaining governance systems.The position requires strong analytical skills, experience working alongside legal counsel, and the ability to independently manage compliance workflows while escalating risk matters appropriately.The range for this role is $30.00 - $33.65, depending on experience. In office position at our Santa Ana, California Corporate Office.ResponsibilitiesRegulatory Compliance Monitoring & AnalysisMonitor federal, California state, and local regulatory updates relevant to nonprofit operationsConduct regulatory research and prepare impact summaries for the Risk & Compliance ManagerAssist in evaluating operational risks identified across departmentsPerform internal compliance reviews and document findingsDraft corrective action recommendations for management reviewLitigation and Legal Case SupportCoordinate the collection, organization, preservation, and production of documents for litigation, investigations, and claims, including support of internal discovery processesMaintain case files, evidence logs, legal holds, and litigation deadlinesAssist in preparing discovery responses, subpoenas, and regulatory inquiries in coordination with external counselServe as liaison with outside counsel and insurance carriers to facilitate document exchange and case-related communicationsPrepare case summaries and provide regular status updates to the Senior Risk & Compliance ManagerSupport all litigation and claims activities under the direction of the Senior Risk & Compliance Manager; settlement discussions and case decisions remain with leadership.(Note: This role does not provide legal advice but supports legal operations and documentation.)Contract Compliance Familiarity & Cross-Functional SupportMaintain working knowledge of contractual compliance obligations and risk-sensitive clausesSupport contract tracking processes as neededAssist in identifying compliance implications within vendor and client agreements when requested. (Primary ownership of contract lifecycle management resides with designated team member.)Policy and Governance AdministrationDraft and revise policies and procedures under management directionMaintain policy version control and regulatory alignmentTrack policy review cycles and documentation updatesPrepare policy update summaries for leadership approvalSupport implementation of updated policies across departmentsLegisway / Compliance System AdministrationServe as day-to-day administrator of the Legisway compliance moduleEnsure workflows and compliance tracking tools are current and accurateGenerate compliance reports and dashboards for leadershipAssist in staff training on system usageAudit, Insurance & Regulatory SupportParticipate in internal compliance reviews and support preparation for external audits, regulatory reviews, and inspectionsAssist with coordination of external audits as delegated and track corrective action plansSupport documentation and tracking related to insurance requirements, Certificates of Insurance (COIs), licensing, and regulatory filingsMaintain organized records to ensure ongoing regulatory readiness. (Primary ownership of insurance, licensing, and audit strategy resides with designated team members and leadershipCompliance-Focused Training CoordinationIdentify regulatory training needs related to compliance requirements, including but not limited to HIPAA, False Claims Act, data privacy, ethics, and other federal or California regulatory mandatesProvide compliance subject matter expertise as needed to support training content developmentMonitor and track completion of required compliance trainings as needed to ensure regulatory adherenceAssist the training department in maintaining documentation of compliance training records to support audit readiness and regulatory reviewsOther Duties This is not an exhaustive list and may include other responsibilities as business needs dictatePreferred Experience/Minimum QualificationsRequired:Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field3–5 years of experience in compliance, legal operations, contract administration support, or regulatory oversightExperience supporting litigation or working alongside legal counselStrong analytical, documentation, and regulatory research skillsHigh discretion and ability to manage confidential informationBasic Computer SkillsValid CA Driver License and eligibility for company vehicle insurance.
