Accountable for developing and building strong teams for each project while delivering quality output, meeting customer expectations, managing to scope, delivering on time, and delivering within budget.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nResponsible for all financial reporting, tracking and projection of all labor, material, job expense, and changes for each project assigned.\nAssume primary leadership responsibilities for each assigned project.\nManage all financial aspects of contracts (costs, billings, and collection) to maintain profitability goals and positive cash flow while simultaneously maintaining a good relationship with the client.\nManage risks and investigate potentially serious situations to circumvent problems or promptly implement corrective measures as required.\nActively pursue additional work through change orders.\nEnsure project document controls are in compliance with contract requirements and CEC standards.\nAttends job progress meetings as required. Develop and maintain viable long-term relationships with customers, consultants, general contractors, and subcontractors.\nDrive division profitability through effective project execution.\nManage, mentor, and develop direct reports and supervise indirect reports.\nEnsure schedule requirements are met for all projects. Readily adjust priorities and milestones based upon changing customer needs, resource availability, and job requirements.\nInteract with the customer to validate expectations are understood and met before, during and after project completion.\nDevelop and lead project management technical and schedule goals, procurement, and contractual requirements, personnel assignments and capacity planning.\nMonthly financial projections for each project assigned.\nSchedule and track material releases. Coordinate with GC, project schedule, and Superintendent as needed.\nWeekly jobsite visits and attend all jobsite meetings as required.\nPerforms other related duties as assigned to ensure efficient and effective processes, completion of projects and smooth operation of department.\nEducation and Experience\nBSEE or Construction Management preferred, high school diploma required.\n5+ years of extensive experience/knowledge of trade-specific contracting, constructing design, finance and management.\nSkills, Knowledge and Abilities\nStrong project management skills including documentation, cost control, procurement, scheduling, change order pricing, negotiating skills.\nSuperior communication and intrapersonal (tact, diplomacy, influence, etc.) skills\nDemonstrated ability to develop relationships and assist in winning projects. Field experience coordination with construction management.\nProficient in Windows, Excel, Word, Outlook, Bluebeam, and Accubid.\nExtensive knowledge of project scheduling, bids, take-offs, change orders, and contracts.\nField experience effectively coordinating with construction management.\nExceptional communication skills, both oral and written.\nExceptional analytical, motivational, and leadership skills.\nWorking knowledge of safety procedures and a true believer in safety.\nCurrent and valid drivers license and clean driving record.\nWork Environment\nThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
