{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"5a01ec8c5a602293c77e0d05","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/5a01ec8c5a602293c77e0d05","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/5a01ec8c5a602293c77e0d05","title":"Header Operator","description":"Description:\nSummary\nThe Header Operator is responsible to produce cold formed metal parts according to the production schedule, product specifications and machine capabilities within a team environment.\nJob Description\nPRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY\nSetup and operate a variety of cold heading machines to produce quality products of any complexity\nPlan and perform close tolerance setups with little or no assistance\nSetup repetitive jobs requiring close tolerance\nSelect feeds, speeds, cams, tooling, etc. for most economical production rate of the machine.\nOTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nUse scales, micrometers, dial indicators and fixed gages to check and gage work\nAdapt or modify tooling to meet gage work\nStarts machine, observes operation, and inspects first run and sample work piece to ensure machining conforms to specifications\nReview the work and assist other operators as necessary to ensure proper work instructions and quality procedures are being followed\nRead blueprints for product specifications, dimensions and tolerances.\nRemove and Install specified tooling at changeovers and make all necessary adjustments\nRequirements:\nCERTIFICATION AND EDUCATION\nHigh school graduate or equivalent required.\nEXPERIENCE\n3-5 years production experience in the manufacturing industry is preferred.\nSKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES\nEffective interpersonal and written communication skills.\nAble to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task effectively.\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS\nWork activities may include constant standing, walking, climbing, sitting, kneeling, stooping, reaching, talking, hearing, seeing, and crouching. Involves some lifting, 50lbs or less.
