This position develops and implements complex supply chain solutions that span various transportation modes and include logistics and technology capability across all business units of ArcBest.\n\nResponsibilities\n* Complete fast track training on transportation, logistics, and supply chain within the ArcBest business.\n* Job shadow various roles within Enterprise Customer Solutions within the first 4 weeks.\n* Manage a key project during the internship that is focused around supply chain solutions including consolidation, pool distribution, mode optimization, and process improvement.\n* Develop a solution designed to meet requirements of various departments, customers, and ArcBest subsidiary companies.\n* Work in a team setting to accomplish department goals.\n* Maintain a positive attitude in a highly intense environment.\n* Other duties and projects, as assigned.\n\nRequirements\nEducation:\n* Pursuing Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain and Logistics, Business, or Engineering Major, preferred\n* Completed Junior academic year, preferred\n\nExperience:\n* No prior experience necessary\n\nComputer Skills:\n* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, preferred\n\nAdditional Requirements:\n* Available for travel, as needed.\n\nCompetencies:\n* Active Learning\n* Flexibility and Adaptability\n* Initiative\n* Interpersonal Relationships\n* Managing Multiple Priorities\n* Problem Solving\n\nOther Details\nWork Hours:\n* This is a part time position that will average fewer than 30 hours per week.
