The role primarily includes embedded firmware development, but also includes some software development of test programs and utilities.\nEssential Functions and Responsibilities (What duties are required for the position to exist?)\nDesign of embedded hardware for new computer peripheral products.\nDesign and coding of firmware & software.\nInterpreting product requirement documents and creating new and derivative products in a fast-paced design cycle.\nParticipating in multiple concurrent design projects in support of the engineering schedule.\nContribute to the technical support of existing products as needed by manufacturing, service, sales, and the customer.\nSupport continuous process improvements to the design and development of products to decrease time to market and increase reliability and manufacturability.\nConduct F/W & S/W regression, integration, verification and validation testing.\nLeading code reviews\nManaging projects\nPerform and Support qualification testing\nMentoring of Jr. Engineers and colleagues\nOther Duties and Responsibilities (Responsibilities/important duties performed occasionally or in addition to the essential duties of the position.)\nMust be a US person\nNo Relocation\nThe ideal candidate will have demonstrated aptitude in:\nEmbedded design, breadboarding, and debugging with common lab tools.\nProgramming of PIC microcontroller based products\nProgramming of USB and other serial communications.\nFirmware logic block diagrams and architecture\nReading, writing and debugging firmware and software in C, and other languages. C# experience is a plus.\nReport writing and documentation\nPlease note that this position will be dedicated to working with customers operating under U.S. export control rules (including ITAR). As a result, this position may include access to technology and/or software source code that is subject to U.S. export controls, including restrictions on who may have access. The Company may choose not to apply, or may be unable to apply, for a license as to any applicants whose access to export-controlled technology or software source code may require authorization.
