Apply now to embark on an exciting journey with us.ResponsibilitiesBring a rolodex of contacts from investor-owned, municipal, and cooperative utilities across North AmericaCreate sustainable long-term relationships by providing win-win business solutions to utility clients in USDevelop new leads for prospective utility clients and inform regional prioritiesOwn key relationships with utility leaders, including executives and team leaders focused on grid modernization, transmission and distribution infrastructure inspections, asset and vegetation management, grid planning, and operations teamsAttend and present at select trade shows and conferencesWrite formal project proposals, develop presentation slides, and other toolsUnderstand utility needs and pain points. Drive deployment scoping with utilities to balance stakeholder needs, internally and externally, and close deals that achieve both scale and rapid executionNegotiate contracts through final executionConsistently ensure that business is conducted with integrity at all timesExercise indirect influence to maintain efficient and timely forward project progressSupport project manager to smoothly transition new contracts into implementationCoordinate with fellow associates and co-founders on sales process improvements, product development, regulatory and policy goals, and competitive landscapeKnowledge in sales of B2B, SaaS products to enterprise clients (Energy experience is strongly recommended, though not required)Coach SDRs on nurturing leads and to foster stronger pipelineMaintain Hubspot and keep management and other key stakeholders appraised on sales activities and pipelineExceed sales targets by building and executing on an aggressive pipeline of investor-owned, municipal, and cooperative utilitiesQualifications5+ years of full-time experience working directly with electric utilitiesBA/BS, or equivalent experience, in engineering, business, or relevant field. Masters, or equivalent experience, preferredSignificant domain expertise through industry experience in one or several of the following areas: Power Grids, Power systems, Energy Markets, T&D assets and operations, Grid Planning and Operations, Grid modernization, Grid ReliabilityDemonstrated track record of empathy, individual initiative, a spirit of inquiry, and solutions-orientationAttention to detail and ability to function effectively under time pressureAbility to work with diverse teams and translate between various areas of expertiseFlexibility and willingness to take on a variety of tasks in response to immediate customer needsExcellent written and oral communication skillsStrong interpersonal skills and excellent work ethicComfort with remote collaboration tools. We are disrupting the power utility industry by providing automation for inspection and maintenance operations for infrastructure, using our AI-powered software platform, and are a venture-funded startup looking for great talent to share our vision of energy industry transformation. Our solutions and technology allows the utilities to reduce current inspection operation costs by at least 50%, prevent power outages, prevent wildfires and manage their assets in an effective way. You will be working with a talented, passionate and hardworking team of engineers and product/project managers to build end-to-end Machine Learning products and pipelines that will be deployed for our customers in order to prevent issues such as power outages, forced shutdowns, impact of climate change on the aging grid infrastructure and preventing wildfires.
